According to Sky News host Andrew Bolt, China has signed its security deal with the Solomon Islands “almost certainly” thanks to bribes.
Bolt said Australia is too small a country to have been able to stop China as it is becoming very powerful.
“America couldn’t stop this deal with China, New Zealand couldn’t stop it – the Morrison government couldn’t stop it,” he said.
“You see, we actually give a lot more aid to the Solomons than all other countries combined, but China is playing dirty.
“He puts his money in the pockets of politicians – and that money talks.”
