Footage of a swinger dubbed “unplayable” went viral on social media and attracted praise from international cricketers.
Mildenhall Cricket Club bowler Jonah Handy produced the viral moment of northern summer over the weekend, after footage surfaced of the sailor knocking down one of the dirtiest swingers ever seen on a cricket pitch.
Playing against Hadleigh CC, Handy was locked in a duel with the hitter Kudazi Muanze when he decided to pop one of several logs out.

Rather than being lured into the off-road vehicle, Muanze decided to take what would have been a perfectly acceptable leave on any other day.
What Muanze did not aim for was the movement of the cherry, which it mowed wildly in the air until it reached the base out of the stump, causing wild celebrations.
Footage of the incredible wicket quickly caught fire on social media, with players, journalists and fans sharing the footage.
Former British handyman Luke Wright shared the clip with some jaw-dropping emojis, while Barmy Barmy’s official Twitter account was also stunned by the delivery.
Suffolk County Cricket Club President Andrew Squire, who also plays at Mildenhall CC, described the ball at East Anglican newspaper as “not playable”.
“Jonah only started playing for us recently and hadn’t played much cricket before,” he said.
“I was playing on the other court on Saturday and someone told me you wouldn’t believe the ball Jonah threw today.
“It wasn’t until everyone started watching it on social media that it became pretty obvious that Test match and world-class cricketers were watching it too.
“The only way I could describe it is that it was unplayable. There have been comments that the hitter could have done it and could have done it, but I think most cricketers would have dropped that ball.
“It depends solely on the swing of the ball and can throw some incredible deliveries and has a serious ability to throw quickly.”
The footage is the latest gem to emerge from an already eccentric English summer, which also saw Australian number 3 Marnus Labuschagne send some dirt to new British captain Ben Stokes – with surprisingly effective results.
