Kaoru Mitoma, Ritsu Doan named in Japan squad for March friendlies

Japan’s 2022 FIFA World Cup star performers Kaoru Mitoma and Ritsu Doan have been named in Hajime Moriyasu’s 26-man squad on Wednesday for the group’s upcoming house friendlies towards Uruguay and Colombia.
There have been 10 modifications from the supervisor’s squad from Qatar, with veteran defenders Maya Yoshida, Yuto Nagatomo and Hiroki Sakai in addition to attacker Takumi Minamino being the notable absentees, whereas Celtic duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate stay neglected.

Three younger J. League-based defenders, Ryotaro Tsunoda, Kashif Bangnagande and Riku Handa, received their first call-ups alongside LASK attacker Keito Nakamura, who has been in excellent scoring type in Austria.
