Brisbane ratepayers hit with 4.93 per cent hike

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has unveiled a record high spending budget – as homeowners face the steepest rate hike in more than a decade. This budget is focused on South East Queensland’s housing affordability crisis even though it contains a 4.93 per cent rate rise. The hike means the average owner-occupier in Brisbane will be paying an extra $85 per year.
