Cheika makes two changes to Pumas XV for the Boks clash in Durban

Argentina made two changes to the starting lineup and three to the bench for the rugby league finals match against South Africa in Durban on Saturday.

Center Matias Moroni and veteran winger Juan Imhoff were promoted after the Pumas lost 36-20 to world champion Springboks in Buenos Aires last Saturday.

Moroni replaces Matias Orlando and Imhoff takes over from Lucio Cinti as Argentina seek to end a two-game losing streak in the Southern Hemisphere championship.

Propeller Mayco Vivas, free forward Pedro Rubiolo and winger Bautista Delguy replace Thomas Gallo, Rodrigo Bruni and Moroni on the bench.

‘Reverse the cards on the table’

Australian manager Michael Cheika said the Pumas are desperate to atone for their poor performance in the Argentine capital last Saturday.

“The Springboks silenced our crowd and it was hard to put up with,” he said. “Now we want to turn the tables and beat the world champions in front of their fans.”

New Zealand and South Africa have 14 points each, Australia 10 and Argentina nine enter the final round of the most exciting rugby championship since its launch 10 years ago.
