OnePlus has released the Android 13 stable update (with OxygenOS 13) for the OnePlus 10 Pro. This is a big deal as one of the first outside of Google to release it in stable form.
The OnePlus 10 Pro has had several beta builds of Android 13, so this one didn’t come out of nowhere. However, not even Samsung has released stable Android 13 on any of its phones, although they are testing Android 13 and One UI 5 on several and will likely update many more devices before OnePlus. OnePlus is known for quickly updating its most recently released Pro phone and thus taking a lot longer on older phones.
For those who own a OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus says beta program members will be the first to see the update. It will then be rolled out gradually to the rest of 10 Pro owners. And in case you were wondering, this launch can take some time, like several weeks.
For new builds, you should find someone with a list of OxygenOS 13 files for manual updates, below is the information you need to make sure you get the right one:
What’s new in OxygenOS 13 that you should be aware of? A lot. The full change log is below, but keep in mind that this is pretty much the complete transition from the OxygenOS you once knew to OPPO’s ColorOS. This has the new OPPO Aquamorphic Design and smooth animations, the new media player in the Quick Settings area and the dynamic calculation engine which should offer a smoother overall experience. But again, this is really just ColorOS running under a different name.
