T-Mobile adds United Airlines to in-flight Wi-Fi coverage

In June, T-Mobile announced its new Coverage Plus benefit for Magenta and Magenta Max subscribers as a package of travel-related benefits added at no additional cost. One of the biggest new benefits was in-flight Wi-Fi sessions on airlines such as Alaska, American and Delta. Today, T-Mobile added another major airline.

United Airlines is now part of T-Mobile’s Coverage Beyond.

For you, as a Magenta customer, this means entire air connections (sms, emails, searches, etc.) on 4 flights per year and 1 hour sessions thereafter. For Magenta Max customers, this means connections for the entire flight every time you fly. It also means you can stream from services like YouTube TV, Netflix, and Paramount + as well.

To find out if your United flight has T-Mobile coverage, you need to be on United’s “737, MAX8, MAX9, select 757-300 and select A319 with Wi-Fi supported by Viasat and Thales InFlyt Experience”. T-Mobile said “more flights and Wi-Fi partners will be added soon”.
