Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey will be questioned in the Musk acquisition case

Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter Inc., will be interrogated under oath Tuesday in the social media company’s lawsuit against his longtime friend Elon Musk, according to court documents.

Dorsey, who stepped down as Twitter’s chief executive officer last year, was a staunch supporter of Musk’s $ 44 billion bid for the company that Twitter is asking to enforce.

While Dorsey was sued by Musk last month, he will be questioned by lawyers on both sides via Zoom on Tuesday morning.

Musk withdrew from his offer in July, accusing the company of failing to fulfill its contract with Twitter by providing information to assess the prevalence of bots on the social media platform.

Since then, dozens of people, banks and funds have been sued in the ongoing legal struggle in Delaware.

The push to gather information and interview key figures in the deal comes ahead of an accelerated schedule for the trial, scheduled for early October. 17 and last five days.
