The first fight of the UFC Austin card was a stunning, highlight reel finish — and it just got wilder and more insane from there.It has been utter carnage in the UFC Fight Night in Austin after five of the seven fights on the preliminary card ended with vicious knockouts. Try 14-Days Free Now >Middleweight Roman Dolidze KOed Kyle Daukaus with a vicious knee to the head but it was just the entree as four of the preliminary card ended in the first round.But while it was a crazy start, it just got crazier.Only Maria Oliveira’s women’s strawweight win over Gloria de Paula and Natalia Silva’s women’s flyweight win over Jasmine Jasudavicius went the distance as there were some wild finishes which had UFC fans excited.Phil Hawes bashed Deron Winn in their middleweight fight, leading to referee Herb Dean to end the fight in the second round.Winn was a bloody mess and had been pommeled until Dean felt he could take no more.The next fight ended with a minute to go when Cody Stamann finished 37-year-old Eddie Wineland with a series of heavy blows.In a featherweight clash between Ricardo Ramos and Danny Chavez, Ramos stunned the crowd when he delivered a spinning back elbow to finish the fight early.”Unbelievable,” was about all the commentators could say.Daniel Cormier added: “You dream like stuff like that. As an athlete, you dream of doing this once — this guy’s done this on multiple occasions.”Incredibly, there have been just five spinning back elbow finishes in UFC history, two belonging to Ramos.Ramos previously knocked Aiemann Zahabi out at UFC 217 in 2017 with the finish.“You repeat, repeat, sometimes you connect, sometimes you don’t,” Ramos said of landing the stunning finish. “But you repeat the position 10,000 times, one day you’ll get it in the fight and today I got it one more time to show that it’s not lucky.”USA Today’s Nolan King wrote: ‘That was legit video game s**t.
