He has been released with a bond of personal recognition and is allowed to travel. The Denver retreat is around the corner.
Harvey Steinberg told reporters after the hearing on Friday that it was “extreme” for Jeudy to spend the night in jail.
“We hope people understand that bad things happen to good people,” he said, via The Denver Post.
The officers were called to a home in Arapahoe County around 10:15 am after the mother of Jeudy’s one-month-old baby called authorities asking for a “peace keeping” situation between her and the wide receiver, she said. Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown at a press conference.
The woman has been described by authorities as having an “ongoing relationship” with Jeudy. She told MPs that she had properties that she had control over the wide receiver, which included a wallet, a car seat, and documents involving the child. Brown said the items were locked in a vehicle that the woman could not access.
Brown noted that there was no physical contact between Jeudy and the woman during the domestic dispute and Jeudy was taken into custody without incident.
The domestic violence enhancer was added because Jeudy and the woman were having an intimate relationship.
