Bobby Portis Jr was in the right place at the right time.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a few friction hits at pivotal moments and had a chance to equalize the match against Boston Celtics with 11 seconds left but missed a free throw. Portis was there to get the offensive rebound and put the ball in the net for the green light.
Marcus Smart would have had a chance to equalize with about 7 seconds left but was blocked by Jrue Holiday who was helping Pat Connaughton in defense. Holiday caught the ball and threw it away Smart as he was falling out of bounds.
Connaughton would have been fouled by the other side and would have scored two free throws to help put the game away. Holiday stole the ball from Smart once again in Boston’s last chance to lift it for another shot.
The Bucks won the match 110-107 and took a 3-2 lead in the series and took a win away from the Eastern Conference Finals.
Antetokounmpo scored 40 points and got 11 rebounds in 40 minutes. He also scored two three-pointers from the clutch along the stretch to keep Milwaukee in play despite a few runs from Boston.
Holiday added 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in the win. Portis scored 14 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
