Multiple accounts shared identical posts about two presidential candidates after the May election.

Filipinos who noticed them shared screenshots of the accounts that posted this script on Facebook and Twitter.

One of the tweets stated that it is a “film script“From troll farms.

Several Facebook accounts have been spotted posting the same text after the May 9 election.

Based on the images, the script or message appeared to be a rebuke to the vice president’s supporters Leni Robredo who were expressing their disappointment with the election results.

In part we read:

“I also voted for Leni, ma mejo anlala ng mga nagpopost ng:

‘Bobo and all the rest of bumoto kay BBM’,

‘Araw-araw ko kayo ija-judge habang buhay’,

‘Wala kayong karapatan magreklamo sa kahirapan nyo!’,

‘Don’t be friends with all your friends with BBM on FB and in real life’, etc.

Is it just me or Talagang may mali? These people sound overly empowered, self-righteous and bitter. What else if nanalo si Leni baka idegrade nyo lang lalo yung ibang tao. Maybe you guys are one of the reasons why Leni lost. “

A superficial check of interaction of this quote showed that there appeared to be only one message that was copied and pasted to different accounts on Twitter and Facebook.

These posts were released on Twitter and Facebook on May 10 and 11. During these dates, the partial and unofficial count of the Electoral Commission transparency server showed that Ferdinando Marco Jr. is leading the presidential race.

One of the online users who shared this alleged script, a certain Benj Bolivar, has received the most engagements so far.

Bolivar published it on May 10th. However, he couldn’t be sure if he was the original uploader.

Since then, his post has garnered 27,000 reactions, 107 comments, and 22,000 Facebook shares.

Also, it has not been possible to determine if the ones spreading this post are troll accounts. Some of them are newly created while others appeared to be organically owned.

These copy-and-paste election-related messages circulating online are not new.

On the occasion of the filing of the candidacy certificates in October 2021, interaction I found some newly created accounts leaving comments copied and pasted in support of some political candidates in the responses section of the news.

Meanwhile, according to the last partial count, unofficialMarcos received a staggering 31.1 million votes, making him the first majority-elected president.

Robredo follows by a large margin with 14.8 million votes.

Other candidates for the presidency, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Leody de Guzman, the mayor of Manila Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Faisal Mangondato have already granted the tender.

Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson has also suggested giving up his offer. Lacson said on Twitter that he has told his supporters that he will be returning home.

“I’m going home. After being away too long to care for other people’s needs, it’s time to serve my family for a change. Enjoying peace and quiet in these troubled times will probably be the greatest reward of my life.” , he said.
