Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) tweeted that the use of intimidation as a political tool is something we “cannot tolerate,” as it observes the distinction between peaceful demonstration and weakening of institutions.
We cannot tolerate intimidation as a political tool It is one thing to demonstrate peacefully and another to undermine institutions like SCOTUS + to harass judges at home because of a decision you may not like AND ANYONE threatened with violence should be arrested and prosecuted

The suggestion from Senator Grassley, who is the senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, that arrest and prosecution should await anyone threatening violence follows news of activist demonstrations around the homes of Supreme Court justices.

Such statements by Grassley and other Republican leaders, calling for a basic human civilization, should be echoed by the Democrats, who control the White House and hold effective majorities in both houses of Congress.
