The shortage of workers in the United States threatens the economy

The US labor market has experienced significant growth, however, there are concerns that the shortage of workers could impact the future economic recovery.

For every unemployed, analysts suggest that there are at least two jobs open, creating stiff competition for workers.

“The supply of labor remains limited which in turn will put upward pressure on wages and ultimately upward pressure on prices,” said John Leer, chief economist at Morning Consult.
